Once home to William Henry Pope, Prince Edward Island Father of Confederation, Ardgowan is representative of an architectural style popular for rural Victorian residences, the “cottage orné or “picturesque cottage” style. Today, Ardgowan houses the administrative offices for Parks Canada.
