In its inaugural year, Tour de PEI won the 2007 Road Event Organizer of the Year Award presented by the Canadian Cycling Association. From June 8-12, 2008, witness top international women cyclists at their best. Be in Charlottetown June 12 for the criterium race (stage 5 of a 4 day Island-wide event).
Rent a bike and take to the side streets, or venture off on the trail and discover the unbeaten path. By foot or bicycle explore the Confederation Trail, beginning two blocks from the Charlottetown Visitor Centre. For walkers, take the “Blue Line” which begins at Confederation Landing Park and follows the Historic Charlottetown Waterfront to Victoria Park.
Charlottetown is also a hub for all degrees of runners. Whether it’s the Confederation Trail, the waterfront boardwalk, or the sidestreets, there’s always a safe and scenic place to run. Challenge yourself and run the PEI Marathon, October 18- 19, 2008.
