2009 Programming Highlights

 

June 27-July 1: Family Fun Days    

 

The Historic Charlottetown Waterfront will be transformed into family fun headquarters with all the Festival favourites returning: Atlantic Superstore Petting Zoo, Peake’s Quay Strongman Competition, Children's Village presented by Northumberland Ferries Ltd, Always on Stage live music performances, buskers and a free 10 hour Concert for Canada presented by Century 21 Colonial Realty on July 1st with PEI artists including Vishten and Grass Mountain Hobos. NEW activities on the waterfront for the Atlantic Superstore Festival of Lights are: Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion, SportyKids Fitness, activities with the 2009 Canada Games Host Society, a Confederation Centre of the Arts Young Company performance and more. The Canada Day finale will be the largest musical fireworks extravaganza in Atlantic Canada, proudly sponsored by WestJet. All these activities are FREE for families to enjoy.

 

July 2: The PEI Sound & Light Show:

Celebrate the Canadian Dream-Voices From the Island will officially debut from Province House at sunset.

Become captivated with our culture, heritage, provincial and national symbols. Show will play off Province House – National Historic Site and will run daily at 9:30pm from July to September. FREE admission.

 

July 3-4: Concert Series Proudly Supported by the Delta Prince Edward
