(Charlottetown, PE - April 1, 2009) For the 4th consecutive year, Prince Edward Island has won the Toronto Sun's "Gold" award for "Best Golf Destination outside Ontario". The results are based on the votes entered by the newspaper's readers every year. Banff, Alberta took home silver and British Columbia won bronze.

"The Ontario market is extremely important to Golf Prince Edward Island", says Barry MacLeod, COO of Golf PEI.  "What makes this award so credible is that we have maintained the top position for four years running and it's voted on by the readers.  Competition is fierce.
