(Charlottetown, PE - June 27, 2008) Tourism Charlottetown wishes everyone a fun and enjoyable Canada Day Weekend. In preparation for the Atlantic Superstore Festival of Lights, we ask patrons to be aware of the following:
Atlantic Lottery Concert Series: - June 28th Starring State of Shock, The Trews and Billy Talent - Showtime is 5:30pm - June 29th - Starring Matt Mays & El Torpedo, Our Lady Peace and Hinder - Showtime is 5:30 pm - June 30th - Starring Collective Soul and The Tragically Hip - Showtime is 6:30pm *Please note the above reflects the order of the artist appearances. The Gates open approximately 1.5 hours prior to showtime. Passport & Ticket Update: - On-line ticket orders will end at 4:00pm on Friday, June 27th, 2008 - Passports are available at designated Atlantic Superstores across the Maritimes only while supplies last. As they sell out, festival goers can purchase tickets at Founders' Hall (Charlottetown Visitor Centre) located at 6 Prince Street. The Festival Administration Trailer located at the bottom of Great George Street starting at noon on Saturday, June 28th. The Trailer will follow the same hours of operation as the festival. - Please note that due to extremely high call volume during the festival, it may be difficult to get through. The phone number for inquiries is 1-800-955-1864. - Please note that tickets are SOLD on-site ONLY while supplies last. There is no guarantee that tickets are available at the gate. Festival goers are encouraged to get their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Rules and Regulations: - Tickets and passports will be collected at the gates for single entry. One Entry ONLY. Once you enter, there will be no re-admittance to festival grounds. Tickets sold at the door subject to availability only. - No alcohol, drugs, weapons or beverages are permitted on festival grounds. - No coolers, bikes, umbrellas, backpacks, pets, or chairs permitted during the Atlantic Lottery Concert Series - No glass or plastic bottle beverages will be permitted to enter the site during the Atlantic Lottery Concert Series. - No still, audio or video cameras allowed at concerts. - Avoid backpacks and bags to expedite entry - all bags will be checked at the gate. - Parental discretion advised. - Concerts go rain or shine - City Police and Security will be insight and will check bags, tickets, and personal items. Intoxication or attempt to conceal alcohol, drugs or weapons will void ticket. - CHAIRS WILL BE PERMITTED FOR CANADA DAY ONLY- JULY PST - All Canada Day activities (with the exception of SandLand and the midway) are free to the public. - There will be no viewing available for the Canada Day fireworks display from the Charlottetown Port Authority Wharf. - Rain date for the fireworks will be Wednesday July 2nd - Tune into Ocean 100.3 and KROCK 105.5 radio stations for schedule changes or announcements. Ticket Pick Up: - If you have ordered tickets online, they are available for pick up at the Ticket Pick Up Tent located at the bottom of Great George Street starting at noon on Sat. June 28.
