(Charlottetown, PE - May 23, 2008) - The Atlantic Superstore Festival of Lights takes place June 28th to July 1st on the Historic Charlottetown Waterfront. Starting Monday, May 26th, Passports will be on sale at designated Atlantic Superstores across the Maritimes.
Passports offer the best value at only $69 plus taxes and a $2 service fee. That's just $23 per night. Passports include admission to all 3 nights of concerts, 8 amazing acts and a total savings of $42. Individual tickets to each night's concert are $37 plus taxes and a $2 service fee (individual tickets are not available at Atlantic Superstores). The Festival gets underway on the evening of Saturday, June 28th with Billy Talent, The Trews and State of Shock. On Sunday, June 29th it's Hinder, Our Lady Peace and Matt Mays & El Torpedo. American Rockers Collective Soul will perform live in concert with Canadian Rock Icons, The Tragically Hip as part of the final night of the Atlantic Lottery Concert Series on Monday, June 30th. It's the Tragically Hip's second performance at the Festival, holding the record for the most tickets ever sold. Collective Soul has seven #1 rock hits to their credit and worldwide sales in excess of $7 million.
"Early indications from web and telephone orders are that Passport sales are pacing way ahead of previous years," says Kim Green, CEO of Tourism Charlottetown. "The line-up is solid and people want to attend all three nights. There are limitations on the number of people that can be accomodated in the site. We encourage everyone to get Passports early as a limited number are available for sale."
Passports and Individual Tickets are available online at www.charlottetowntickets.com, Founders' Hall (6 Prince Street, Charlottetown) and by calling the Alaint Festival Hotline at 1-800-955-1864.
Charlottetown Rocks for 3 Days and 4 Nights this Canada Day Weekend. Don't miss it.
