Jack Frost Set to Arrive This Weekend with Amazing New Shows

(Charlottetown, PE, February. 20, 2008) - With the warm weather coming to an end, snow making has resumed at Confederation Landing Park.  The long term forecast is calling for below zero temperatures all week, perfect conditions for Jack Frost Children's WinterFest presented by the Confederation Bridge.

As well, there are three great indoor venues with Toopy and Binoo™ and Spiderman™ and other Marvel Super Heroes performing live on the PEPSI Indoor Stage at the Historic Seaport Activity Event Centre, CIBC Playzone at the Charlottetown Civic Centre and Hasbro® PlayZone and Lego® Town at the Shops of Confederation Court Mall.  And it's easy to get around, just park your car and ride the Jack Frost Shuttle between all venues compliments of Downtown Charlottetown Inc. and Trius Tours.

The Festival will feature two new amazing evening shows - The Flying Canucks presented by McDonald's and a new close proximity fireworks and pyrotechnics show presented by The Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre.

Be at Confederation Landing Park, to watch as The Flying Canucks offer unique one-of-a-kind 30-minute stunt shows, off a 40-foot mobile ski ramp, and on a trampoline. Soaring 30-feet in the air, these Olympians will perform outstanding aerial acrobatic skiing, snowboarding and new-school freestyle 'Big Air' maneuvers. Following each performance, the audience is invited to meet The Flying Canucks for photos and autographs.

The evening fireworks and pyrotechnic show presented by the Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre takes place Friday and Saturday at 7pm.  "I promise this is not your traditional fireworks show," says Kim Green, CEO of Tourism Charlottetown.  "This is a close proximity fireworks and pyrotechnic show with a pirate theme and special effects all choreographed to energetic music and script.  Because this is a close proximity fireworks show, it will only be seen from the Historic Charlottetown Waterfront," adds Green.

Only three more days to get advance weekend tickets for $14 plus taxes.
On Friday ticket prices on-site will increase to $19 plus taxes. Get your tickets early and save. Tickets are on sale while supplies last at McDonald's Restaurants, Atlantic Superstores, The Shops of Confederation Court Mall and Confederation Bridge Office; toll free at 1-800-955-1864 or online by visiting www.jackfrostfest.com.
