Jack Frost Needs Volunteers

(Charlottetown, PE -  February 5, 2008) Construction for the Jack Frost
Children's WinterFest presented by the Confederation Bridge is well
underway.

Confederation Landing Park is now a flurry of activity with
the newly purchased snow maker making snow daily and local crew building
forms in preparation for the arrival of master sculptor, Peter Vogelaar
and the Canadian Olympic Snow Sculpting Team on Monday, February 11th.

"This year's Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever," says
Kim Doyle, Director of Festivals and Events for Tourism Charlottetown.
"With all of the exciting new additions and 4 featured venues, Tourism
Charlottetown needs over 200 volunteers to work at various indoor and
outdoor locations throughout the festival," adds Doyle.

Be a part of the magic of the Aliant Snow Kingdom at Confederation
Landing Park, the energy of the CIBC Indoor PlayLand at the
Charlottetown Civic Centre, or the PEPSI Indoor Stage at the Historic
Charlottetown Seaport Special Events Centre. To sign up, volunteers can
go online to www.jackfrostfest.com or call MaryEllen at 902-892-0421.

Join the cast of volunteers as an individual, or as part of a group you
belong to.  Each volunteer will also receive one complimentary weekend
pass to the festival. Tourism Charlottetown is looking for site
marshals, ticket agents, character greeters, site personnel for set-up
and tear-down, plus many other exciting roles.

The 4th Annual Jack Frost Children's WinterFest presented by the
Confederation Bridge takes place February 22-24, 2008.  For more
information call 1-800-955-1864 or go online to www.jackfrostfest.com
