(Charlottetown, PE - August 1, 2007) - SandLand presented by Northumberland Ferries has been open to the public for a month now. Since June 30, close to 13,000 guests have enjoyed the artistry of SandLand and its 20 Sand Sculptures all iconic to Prince Edward Island, each tell a different story about PEI, from confederation to harness racing, from shipbuilding to fisheries; even farming and golf are featured. "People are really enjoying SandLand, the artistry is simply amazing! And it is Charlottetown's newest must see attraction", Kim Green, CEO Tourism Charlottetown, explains with a smile. "Visitors are especially enjoying the interactive Sand demonstrations with our resident sculptor Abe Waterman that run three times per day. Its like Sand School providing visitors with the opportunity learn sand sculpting secrets."
